Biography
I've been a freelance programmer since 1995, primarily as a web developer and research programmer for the UC Merced Cognitive Science dept. When I'm not coding, I also enjoy musical composition and working as a Buddhist chaplain.
Skills
I enjoy learning and adapting to new languages and frameworks, and have an aptitude for doing so quickly. I'm a capable problem solver in general, and enjoy applying creativity to engineering puzzles. I've worked with most languages and web technologies, and I look forward to learning those I haven't.
What I look for
I am looking to work approximately 20 hrs/week remotely, primarily on back end web technologies. I have extensive experience doing front end work as well, but I get much more excited about solving programming puzzles and optimizing performance.
I am looking primarily for remote work.
