Senior Software Engineer - Golang, Java, MongoDB, SQL, Linux

Biography
I do software engineering in the web space since about 15 years, mostly websites, middleware and APIs using languages like PHP, Java and for the last three years Golang. My previous employments include a large german newspaper corporation for which I worked on the high traffic newspaper website on top of a Java CMS and an online travel startup where I did front- and backend work as the technical co-founder. Recently I worked at an agency that built apps and websites for Mercedes-Benz where I did Golang-based middleware, connecting various Daimler AG APIs with customer facing frontends.

Skills
I strive for structured, understandable, reliable and performant code in any language. My favourite language is Golang because of its simplicity, performance and high productivity, I can provide samples of Golang code on request or will happily do a coding challenge / live coding. I also worked a lot with SQL servers (mostly MySQL, but also SQLite, PostgreSQL and Oracle) and MongoDB. I am familiar with full text search engines like Lucene or Bleve. My development and production environment for self-hosted projects is Linux. I have no problem with container-technology, CI or cloud services.

What I look for
I am looking for a position where I can apply my coding skills, preferably with Golang.
It should be at least mostly remote. I'm quite flexible regarding timezones as I can work in the evening.
