Job description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Backend Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable, high-performance backend systems that are integral to our e-money-as-a-service platform. Your expertise will drive the integration of our services with various blockchains and traditional banking systems, ensuring secure and efficient payment flows for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain backend services and systems to support Monerium's e-money services.
Ensure backend systems are secure, scalable, and maintain high performance to handle increasing transaction volumes.
Develop and implement best practices for backend architecture, including database design, system integration, and performance optimization.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to backend functionality and performance.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in software engineering, with a significant focus on backend development.
Proficiency in Go programming language.
Strong understanding of backend architecture and best practices.
Experience with SQL databases, particularly PostgreSQL.
Familiarity with Kubernetes and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Previous startup experience, demonstrating the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Proven experience working remotely, with strong skills in asynchronous communication and self-management.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
