Biography
I write software. I love Go but I also have a lot of experience with Java. I'm curious, passionate, self-driven.
I love what I do and I love technology but it's second in my priorities to making something meaningful.
When it comes to technology, I have expertise in backend applications, platform services and APIs. In the past few years, I worked on a scalable and robust storage schema and ingest pipeline of energy usage data. I've also successfully done full-stack work on my personal side project: Glukit (http://www.mygluk.it).
Skills
I have significant experience in writing backend software. I spent the last few years working with HBase, hadoop and RESTful services so my relational database skills are a bit rusty but it would come back with a little exposure. I've also developed a fully working application from scratch called Glukit (http://www.mygluk.it) written in Golang and deployed on Google App Engine.
What I look for
I'm looking for an individual contributor role where I get to make great contributions to a Golang and/or Java codebase (or other languages if there's an openness for me ramping up).
I've been working remotely for the last year and a half with great results and I would like to continue doing so. As a very self-driven individual, I like having the ability to focus and stay in the flow.
